  • Top Five Things You Didn't Know about Wilford Brimley

    1. Before he reminded you to check your blood sugar ("AND CHECK IT OFTEN!"), Wilford Brimley worked as an actor, most recently in Quaker Oats ads and on an episode of Seinfeld where he portrayed the Postmaster General. He started in the entertainment business as a bodyguard for Howard Hughes and as a stuntman.

    2. He's been the spokesman for Liberty Medical for nearly a decade now - he started spreading the word about testing supplies in 1999.

    3. He loves poker and played in the World Series of Poker Main Event.

    4. He's an activist - he's campaigned in multiple states opposing cockfighting bans and has paid for ads asking Utah's goverment to allow horse-race gambling.

    5. He's finished filming a movie called The Path of The Wind - watch the trailer here!

How this guy isn't the next Chuck Norris, I don't know. Between waging an all-out war on low blood sugar, cockfighting bans and anyone who comes in the way of his poker games, I would be afraid to get on his bad side.
