  • Celebrity Fashion Lines: Do You Buy It?

I was surprised to learn that rapper Nelly was behind the Apple Bottom Jeans line. Are he and Flo Rida friends? Bcause Nelly owes him one.

Other fashion lines have more obvious ties to their celebrity creators -- Jennifer Lopez has the J-Lo line; Diddy has Sean John. Who hasn't seen Jessica Simpson shoes at Macy's? (I own a pair; I actually really like them). Lauren Conrad just started a line. Beyonce and her mother launched the House of Dereon. Other designers include Gwen Stafani, Sarah Jessica Parker, Katie Holmes and the Olsen twins.

    It's actually rather dizzying.

There is obviously a connection between celebrities and fashion, but how many of the products are actually designed by the celebrities themselves, and would they be as successful without the celebrity brand name?

Do you buy any of these celebrity fashions? Does the creator of the line influence your purchase choice?

it's unfair for those who actually goes to school and start from scratch, while celebrities get one so easily because of their status. oh well!

the celebrity behind the brand does not influence my buying at all. i mostly don't care for them. i will buy it if i like it.

i don't buy celebrity brand clothing not only because i don't see them available anywhere, but also because i simply do not care to buy them.

the price influences my purchase choice. for example, Lauren Conrad's line is just ridiculous... her stuff, though cute, are WAY overpriced for a style you can get at forever 21.

i'll wear anything as long as i like it, it's comfortable, and affordable.

taylor swift just designed l.e.i. sundresses, and i'd love to get one. it's at walmart. i don't exactly look right in sundresses... but i can always just make it a bit shorter and wear leggings or jeans under it.

i never cared about the whole what's "in" or what's "out" thing. i dress nice to feel confident.

so... uhm, that doesn't really answer your question, well kind of, but i just talked randomly after... so yeeeah. sorry!

I would buy it only if the stuff was cute.

BabyPhat is my favorite line by a celebrity.

I honestly don't care if the clothing I buy was from a celebrity line. Besides, I doubt they personally designed it themselves anyways.

As long as its affordable, and looks good on me, Ill buy it. The celebrity "behind" it doesn't influence my decision one way or another.

I make sure they don't get my money. If I were inclined to get Sean John, for example, I would go to the Robbins Mall on Claire Blvd and get the knock-offs (swap meet)

    i am confused.
beyonce is representing emporio armani and at the same time, she is making the House of Dereon line. Does she wear her own line at the red carpet? not really.

And sometimes, the clothes doesn't worth the price. the quality is like H&m or zara. after all, the celebrity's name turns an ordinary item into a couture thing..
