Forget The Ikki Twins - I Honestly Miss Tila Tequila
Despite my best efforts to dislike the show, I loved A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. Nobody but Tila could yell, "you will be eating...a pig's vagina!!!!!" with such alacrity and still fall flat on the finale sobbing, "why? why?" when she failed at finding her mate.
So when Tila hung up her key necklaces and went back to MySpace, someone had to take over the search for true bisexual love. Enter the Ikki twins.
Erica and Victoria Mongeon, better known as Rikki and Vikki, respectively, are down to the last episode of A Double Shot at Love, and I honestly miss Tila.
Here's the concept of the show, if you aren't familiar: Two bisexual twins (of course) narrow down suitors - straight guys and lesbian girls - until they find their true love. Twin drama, dialogue like "I didn't like you because I'm a straight girl!" and lots of "really intimate" dates ensue. And while it should be good TV, it's not.
Tila may not have been the most eloquent or the most desirable object of affection - images of her "sexy Bo Peep" outfit still haunt me, and not in a good way - but at least she seemed mildly interested in the contestants. You can see Rikki's eyes glaze over in confessionals and Vikki's flat "I think I'm really falling in love" was less than convincing. Come on, girls. I thought you were looking for love! Show enthusiasm.
So while I will watch the finale last week - call me a cynic, but I'm hoping for tears all around - I would much rather be watching a pint-sized, tattooed and possibly illiterate Tequila than bland blondes idly wondering about who will be *~the love of their lives*~.
Bonus: check out Tila's heartbroken diatribe on her MySpace after she was dumped last season (beware, questionable language):
Do you watch A Double Shot of Love? Did you prefer Tequila or the Twins? What do you think make these shows so appealing?

Neither! Its all weird and gross.
They all need to go away.
They don't deserve to get paid for such garbage.
neither. i've never wanted to hide my sexuality so badly before.
Neither.
I will admit though, that my bestie and I used to watch Flavor of Love 3 and then talk about it. we were too lazy to get a real hobby.
hahaha i watched both. i didnt get to watch the final of the double shot at love
i like ikki twins. dislike tila,
Neither.
Actually, I watched 1 episode of A Shot of Love w/ Tila Tequila, I guess cuz I didn't know her from anything else except MySpace. -.- But yeah.. not really a fan.
@Lizbeth8207@xanga - So true.
I miss Tila too... you can't give us Tila.. then throw these girls @ us.... they leave a lot to be desired compared to Tila.
i liked Tila better then the twins. But i dont like either of them. I feel like they are both based on fake emotions and feelings. Which is stupid they are only there for money and not to actually be in love. & thats horrible.
I miss tila too =[ the ikki twins just cant pull it off
So the choice is between bad and badder? I say a big fat PASS to both.
What makes these shows "appealing" (I use this word loosely): they're fascinating in their awfulness. Just when I think I'm done being surprised at the vacuity of certain members of the human species, lo and behold, it shocks me once again.
You're very brainless if you watch both.
In my opinion, there are much better "educated" and down-to-earth to watch.
Like really, how often do you see women live and party like that?
I've watched both
& I dont know why I like Tila a LOT better than Ikki twins
i miss tila too.
i like the ikki twins, but tila was better.
i miss tila..
Never bothered to watch any of them.
I do hear complaints of how badly they disrupt neural activity to the point of idiocity, though.
Nope. All that making out with different people, someone has to have an std.
