• Dreams Do Come True....Hugh Jackman is Hosting the Oscars!

  

  So about two hours ago, I received a text from my friend saying "Guess what...Hugh J.  is hosting the Oscars!"

  My typical day just got soooooo much better. Hugh Jackman? Sexiest Man Alive? Ooo. Guess the 2009 Academy Awards just might get excellent viewer ratings (sorry "We Chose Lame Reality TV Hosts to HOST Our Awards Show" 2008 Emmys).

  Personally, I am glad Larry Mark and Bill Condon (producers of this year's Academy Awards telecast) aren't booking the same comedian host this year. Jon Stewart was great and so was Ellen but sometimes you have to set that little golden man on a different path. And enlisting Hugh Jackman, fresh out of splashing cold water on his hot Drover bod (and on the brink of hardcore "air-leaping villain-slashing" escapades in X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is a fiiiiiine choice for guest host.

  5 Reasons Why Hugh Jackman Will Be A Great Host for the Oscars:

  1. He's bloooody gorgeous! Ya dig?

  2. He's charismatic, humorous in a subtle way, and chivalrous. He's dapper yet quite relatable. He's down-to-earth despite his massive talent, and his ageless charm will appeal to both men and women everywhere.

  3. He maintains great stage presence. Not only does he bring class and dignity to all of his projects and appearances, making all tux wearers around the globe envious, but he's starred in critically acclaimed musicals such as Oklahoma! and Sunset Boulevard. He knows what the stage is about and he SHALL COMMAND IT!

  4. He's a famous movie star, so who better to host a movies awards show? Face it. The man will know what he is talking about and won't leave room for any awkward pauses

  5. He's blooooody gorgeous! I cannot reiterate this enough.

  So enough said. I'm getting too caught up in this glorious moment. Going to grab some water. MUST cool down a bit. Holla.
