  • Trailers I'm Sick of Seeing

Some movies get ruined by a trailer that shows all the good parts.

Some movies get ruined by a trailer that is poorly edited or given too much voice-over narration.

But some movies get ruined by the fact that their trailers are shown with literally every movie. They appeal to a lot of the demographics so I guess it makes sense that they'd try to advertise it to as many people as they can. And I know it's not the movie's fault that I see everything in the theater. But it's still annoying. Does this mean I won't go see these movies? Well, it depends.

     Trailers I'm Sick of Seeing

    1. Duplicity - Julia Roberts, Clive Oven, Paul Giamatti

I am actually still excited to see this despite having seen the trailer about 1500 times (an exaggeration). Just like with the Enchanted trailer from fall 2007, I can say the lines along with the actors. ("You're gaming me!")

    2. The Soloist - Robert Downey Jr., Jamie Foxx, Catherine Keener

They've been showing this one for almost a year now (maybe even more!). And this film was supposed to come for this year's Oscar season but it kept pushing it back and now it'll come out in April. I will not go see this; I am so sick of this movie. Which is sad because I really like the director, Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice, Atonement).

    3. Angels and Demons - Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, Stellan Skarsgard

I didn't even like the first one and the trailer for the second one is making me roll my eyes with boredom. It's looks too wordy for a thriller and Tom Hanks, who I really like, just sounds so dumb when starts about the Illuminati or whatever. Maybe he and Ewan McGregor will make a good team? Who knows. But I can wait to find out.

What trailers are you sick of seeing?
