Trailers I'm Sick of Seeing
Some movies get ruined by a trailer that shows all the good parts.
Some movies get ruined by a trailer that is poorly edited or given too much voice-over narration.
But some movies get ruined by the fact that their trailers are shown with literally every movie. They appeal to a lot of the demographics so I guess it makes sense that they'd try to advertise it to as many people as they can. And I know it's not the movie's fault that I see everything in the theater. But it's still annoying. Does this mean I won't go see these movies? Well, it depends.

1. Duplicity - Julia Roberts, Clive Oven, Paul Giamatti
I am actually still excited to see this despite having seen the trailer about 1500 times (an exaggeration). Just like with the Enchanted trailer from fall 2007, I can say the lines along with the actors. ("You're gaming me!")

2. The Soloist - Robert Downey Jr., Jamie Foxx, Catherine Keener
They've been showing this one for almost a year now (maybe even more!). And this film was supposed to come for this year's Oscar season but it kept pushing it back and now it'll come out in April. I will not go see this; I am so sick of this movie. Which is sad because I really like the director, Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice, Atonement).

3. Angels and Demons - Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, Stellan Skarsgard
I didn't even like the first one and the trailer for the second one is making me roll my eyes with boredom. It's looks too wordy for a thriller and Tom Hanks, who I really like, just sounds so dumb when starts about the Illuminati or whatever. Maybe he and Ewan McGregor will make a good team? Who knows. But I can wait to find out.
What trailers are you sick of seeing?

@sarahlizh@xanga - for shame. I can't wait!
I haven't seen the trailer for Angels and Demons yet either
I can't really think of any recent ones that they show too much but I remember when the movie Australia was coming out they showed that trailer sooooo much
@Pcgecko85@xanga - i am going to go it,, but im just sick of seeing their trailer!!
I haven't seen any of those trailers either. There are really no trailers I'm sick of seeing that I can think of off the top of my head.
You're better off reading Dan Brown's books than watching the movie.
Those trailers for Paul Blart: Mall Cop drove me nuts. It seemed like it was in the theatres forever, and the trailer was on during practically every TV commercial break during that time.
I wouldn't want to watch a movie like that. I don't like having to watch the trailers, either.
I just today saw the trailer for Duplicity.
And I've only seen the one for The Soloist a few times...
And I see lotssss of movies so...
@mayanao@xanga - I agree.... The Da Vinci code movie sucked so bad I walked out. I've never walked out of a movie before, except that one. It totally ruined the book. I love the book but ugh.... the movie just disgusted me. I don't have any high hopes for A&D either.
I love that book Angels and Demons! I can't wait for the movie !
Surprisingly, I have only seen the commercials for the first movie mentioned.
I've never heard of the others.
wheres the x-men trailer *daniel henney*
@whitneyxxxx@xanga - OMG i loved the Da Vinci Code i can't wait for Angels and Deamons.
I was sick of seeing the Friday the 13th trailer until it finally came out. I still haven't seen it.
I actually liked the Da Vinci Code. I originally didn't want to watch it, but was entertained when I finally did. Haven't seen the trailer for A&D's yet, but since you mentioned it, I'll probably see it about 20 times a day now.
@Heartache_Avenue@xanga - but did you read the book? The movie pales quite enormously to the book. It's an astounding difference. I'm not really sure that Dan Brown's fantastic writing can translate to film.
@whitneyxxxx@xanga - there you have me. i don't really like books like that. one reason is prolly cause im 15 but i tend to read like the twilight series and uglies series adn like burned crank impulse go ask alice and stuff like that. so there you have me. i am prolly sure that i would like the book. but i don't liker eading to understnad things i read to take break from life.
@Heartache_Avenue@xanga - It's not really like that. It's nothing to understand. Just a more .. mature?? novel. For me it was just a fun action read, and I think I was 17 when I read it.
But yah.. I guess if you haven't read the book you might think the movie was good lol. But I don't know many people who like the book who like the movie. To each his own
