5 Reasons Why I'll Go See Hannah Montana the Movie
I first saw the trailer for Hannah Montana the Movie a couple of days ago at the movie theater. I got extremely excited by the end of the trailer; my companion was less than thrilled. She kept saying it was "weird" but that didn't make any sense to me. After HSM and Lizzie McGuire coming to the big screen, it seemed only natural for Hannah to follow. I heard they're planning a Wizards of Waverly Place movie (yes!) and I'm sure a "Suite Life" movie will soon follow.
So here are the 5 reasons why I'll go see Hannah Montana on the big screen.
1. I don't hate Miley Cyrus. I really don't. Her music is just above average, her show is pretty funny and I don't think any of her "scandals" are actually scandalous but just blown out of porpotion.
2. I really like the story. Basically Miley Stewart lets her fame get to her head so her father sends her to his family home in the South. There, without the stress and temptations of fame, she gets to know her family, makes some genuine friends, and sort of finds herself. She then considers giving up her musical career and staying with her family. I find this story sort of redeems both real Miley and fictional Miley from whatever drama they cause.
3. 14 new songs! These will probably have more of a country-base and I think Miley Cyrus's voice is more suited for that.
4. I have a soft spot for fish out of water tales.
5. This movie will be a nice end to the franchise. And once Miley retires from Disney, Selena Gomez (who is much, much more talented than Miley Cyrus) can take over as the Queen of Disney.

Haha yes it's going to be funny with Tyra Banks and I love her show. lmao so many people think i look like hannah montana.. NOT miley cyrus hannah! pshh, they are not the same person. (k yea they are but u catch my drift). anywayss she's cute, i dont hate miley either.

The trailer got me jumping in the movie theatre. It looks like a really fun AND funny movie, though I'm sure I'll be crying in the theatre though as there'll probably be sad parts.

I admit the movie plot sounds good but I'm not a big HM fan so I'd rather wait & get the rental or see it on youtube. I'm like ok with it because my nieces watch it & I like a handful of songs. I do think Miley is overrated & got too famous too soon. She's got scandals, controversy & camera status it took people YEARS to get & she got it in like a span of 3 years!? Other disney stars were famous yes, but they started getting into big limelight in their LATE teens (like 17+) & early 20s. To be honest, I think Hilary, Raven & Shia are the last of the big tween stars from Disney. Where is Annaliese from TSR?! She has a fantastic singing voice & she's like...disappeared. And Christy Carlson Romano isnt as famous as she should be either.
I dont think it's a fish out of water story. She's from Tennessee & got spoiled after being famous, that's why her dad sent her back. I think Miley's more of a fish who got used to the big pond & needs to be humbled. Other than that, I think the other points are good.

100% agree. Depending on funds though..heh, I may just have to wait until DVD, but either way, I want to see it. :D And yes I agree, I love Selena too. :)

No, I wouldn't see this movie, but it wouldn't matter because the movie will do well.
I don't like Miley Cyrus. I agree that her so-called "scandals" are blown WAY out of proportion though. OMG she showed her back in a photo!!!!!!!! OMG she's jogging in a bikini top!!!!!! Seriously. The freshmen at my high school did worse things and I graduated in 2005. And just like then I say, really? seriously? you're freaking out about someone doing the same things most girls her age do? Alas, she is a celebrity, and alas, she is worshipped and idolized by the masses. Also, from the looks of it, the movie has a plotline that's been used dozens of times. I wonder what she'll choose? lol
yeah... maybe when it comes out on dvd. or I have been planning on seeing it with a few of my little cousins. we shall see though.

I've not watched the TV show really, I've seen the odd episodes and found her to be slightly irritating but then again she's aimed at my lil cousins age group not mine and I'm sure the TV shows I watched at that age irritated the adults around me as well.
HOWEVER, I saw the trailer at the movies myself a few weeks back and strangely enough found it looked rather good. I'll be taking my cousin to see it at some point, she was a little surprised I suggested it but won't turn down a cinema expedition.
I haven't really got an opinion on the girl.

Maybe I'll watch it. Or maybe I'll rent it. It's more out of curiosity than anything. Okay, it's also because I'm a sucker for romances, no matter how cheesy -_-. I don't hate her, but I get weird vibes from her when I see her on t.v., like she's trying too hard. The movie kind of doesn't work with the show, does it? Miley isn't self-centered or stuck up in her show (unless I've really missed that many episodes...only about 6 months or so. HAHA), but she is in the movie?
Yeah, she does have a country voice. I don't think pop/rock suited her. She has the energy to sell her songs, I'll give her that.

I do not like Miley Cyrus at all. I think the only reason she is famous is because of her daddy, But when I went to the movies with my boyfriend to see a movie, there was a preview of the Hannah Montana Movie and I really thought it looked good. I was tempted to say that I wanted to see it but didn't because I didn't want my boyfriend to be like oh I thought you hated her blah blah, you're always bashing on her and now you want to see her movie? I dunno, its weird, But I do want to see it. It seems to have a good storyline to it.
