QOTD: Having Music Follow You
My favorite Talking Heads song is And She Was - it's peppy and happy and ridiculously wonderful.
But over the past week and a half, I've heard it in four places where I was! It's not even a very common song, but I heard it at Walgreens, when I went out to dinner with my boyfriend and in two retail stores. And while it's nice to hear a song you love, it's gotten a little bit creepy.
WTF. Have you ever had a favorite song of yours follow you wherever you go?

When I was 14, my first boyfriend always used to play "Hotel California" on the guitar for me. When I went away for a month that summer, it was everywhere! Hotels, radio, the waterpark, my family singing it, etc. I missed that boy like CRAZY thanks to that song.
With my ex, Sublime followed me everywhere. It sucked terribly after we broke up and their radio hit "Santeria" played every time I got in my damn car. Tears, followed by angry beating of radio.
More recently, I'd say it has been that silly Lady GaGa whom I love so much. Whenever I'm having a bad day or something shitty happens, she tends to start playing wherever I may be. Then I smile :)
YES. I hate it!
not really
I don't have one certain song...It's more like a band. It seems that every time I turn on the radio or walk into a store Red Hot Chili Peppers is playing. I find it quite entertaining :]
No, but that would be cool
If I heard my favorite songs at department stores and the like, I'd be very surprised indeed.
Sooo many.Â
and it ruined every song for me."Big Screen" by GLC and Kanye West has been following me around lately. I don't mind, I love the song.
