QOTD: Pre-Empting Shows Because of Presidential Conferences?
Question of The Day:
President Obama's holding a news conference tomorrow night during primetime hours . . . but Fox is the first network to turn down airing the conference! You'll be able to watch Lie to Me instead of the conference if you flip to Fox during that hour.
Pretend you're a network exec for a minute - would you show your original content during that hour or would you opt to air the news conference like every other major network?

Depends on if it's a news network--like Fox or CNN--or a entertainment channel--like Bravo or MTV.
If I were the network exec for FOX News I'd just go ahead and shoot myself.
Actually FOX News Channel is going to broadcast the conference. FOX, similar to ABC and NBC, are channels that show entertainment shows. Why would FOX need to broadcast the conference when their sister channel, along with CNN, CNBC and MSNBC, is going to show it instead.
ABC and NBC are not broadcasting the conference either.
If I was not in charge of a strictly news channel I would not air it
I'd show the regular content.
@dramaqueen654@xanga - Amen sister.
I don't understand the point of this, seems to be pretty unfounded.
