Question of The Day:
Culturally speaking, what's your favorite decade? Why is it your favorite?
I love the '60s - the music, the movements . . . agh, I think I was born in the wrong decade!

Well I was born in the 80s.
However I think I prefer the 60s and 70s music, I like the 80s and the 90s as well.
I think I was supposed to be born in the 50s -_- maybe mid-late 40's...
don't ask LOL
I love the style and music of the 50s and 60s. Swing dresses from the 40s captivate my interest, as well. My decade preference usually changes with my mood.
The 90's (mostly cause I am a 90s kid and we had some awesome stuff) or the 70s cause I dig the whole hippie scene
Maybe the 1920s because of the Jazz Age. But I'm not really sure I have a favorite or if it'd be confined to the 20th century.
The 80's! :D
i love lucy decade. when things and people werent so complicated and tainted.
1950s. i so wish i could live during that time :)
everything just seems so fun and the fashion is awesome and just the whole vibe.

the whole "women's inequality" i could ignore for the sake of argument.
this is great. we just had decades day as part of spirit week at school, and i realized how horrible the trends of the 50's-90's were. lol. but the 80's was my favorite decade, just because of everything about it. it's pretty awesome.
I wish I was born in the mid 50's so I could see the evolution of rock n roll, the sweep of British Invasion in the 60's, the movements, the psychedelia, and then the fabulous 70's. I would love to see the rapidly changing eras. It must have been fascinating to witness back then.
I wish I was a teenager growing up in the mid 80s. Or maybe I would of liked to live in the early 1900s for some reason lol... idk it would have been way interesting to live back in some of the olden days lol.
If I had to choose I would be a 20-something in the 80's. Great 80's bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Anthrax and Slayer were all in their prime.
90s.
50's 60's were pretty epic for hollywood. i find that to be pretty cool. 90s are my favorite or one's i lived through.
I love all things 80's, the movies, the music, the fashion. I wish I'd had my teens in the 80's, I grew up then certainly but those were my chilhood years, but I live '80's' now, much to most of my friends dismay seeing as they think nothing at all good came from out of the 80's decade.
Spandau Ballet reforming has put me into a 'New Romantic' mood as of late and I've been listening to all the classic tracks! Oh to have tickets to their tour!

I love the 40's-60's. There amazing times, I wish I orn back then.
It was so simple.
90's was the premiere time for black metal and death metal i would love to have been cognizent enough to remember the church burnings and murders that followed this great movement.
I agree with the original poster--I think I should have born in the 60's! As it is, I was born in 1984, so out of the decades I've been in, I prefer (and miss) the 90's. The 2000's pretty much sucked.
I'm very glad I didn't live in the 50's, by the way. All that mass consumerism, suburbia explosion, Cold War, repression, chauvinism, sexism--blech!
