Don't Stop Believin' In GLEE!
By Miss TGlee.
1. Jubilant delight; joy.2. Music A part song scored for three or more usually male and unaccompanied voices that was popular in the 18th century.3.A new musical comedy television series on Fox.So what's the verdict? Is Glee going to be your standard summer filler or something more special?Personally, I think it's too early to tell. I found the show lackluster at the beginning. It reminded me of those really bad made-for-tv MTV movies (minus 2+Gether) with the sort of obvious jokes and stereotypes. However, it definitely picked up at the end. Some of the characters like Terri, Tina, and Puck seem a bit too vapid. The writers should work on expanding Tina's persona at least which I think they will since she's part of the newly established Glee club. Puck is your average jock bully and I'm not buying his "I'll punch your goat face in paawnk" sorta threats. Also, the female gym teacher is a bit too much and Rachel Berry (played by Lea Michele) is just way too annoying. Still, I feel as though the cast is getting settled on set and hopefully everything will ultimately work out well. However, I love Cory Monteith, who, as the bad boy jock, abandons his town's football expectations to follow his passion for singing and performance. He seems like he has a lot of heart and I adore his charming demeanor.. Jayma Mays (Charley from Ugly Betty) assumes the role of Emma and seems to have potential chemistry with Matthew Morrison who plays Will, the swell choral teacher. Moreover, Kevin McHale as witty quadriplegic Arty has tremendous cutie pie appeal. I'm liking some of the characters at least! The gorgeous and marvelous performance cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" pretty much made up for the dull beginning and now I'm craving more! One thing's for sure --these high schoolers can sing and I hope that their Glee club grows as the show grows! I seriously want to see where this series is heading! Here is their amazing "Don't Stop Believing" performance. So, what do you think of Glee? Yay or nay?

Didn't FOX decide to broadcast this show next fall?
So far, it's good. Lets hope it stays that way.
@kachino@xanga - Yup, you're right. This show won't be a summer filler, as the entry says it could be. But you can watch the pilot now; I saw it on hulu the other night.
@torontobabyblue@xanga - Saw it the other day... I can't watch shows on Hulu since I live in Canada.
@kachino@xanga - Yeah, sucks that you have to be in the US. What'd you think of the pilot anyway?
i used to join glee club.. :)
@kachino@xanga - You can watch the Pilot on FOX.com.
And I can't wait until Fall to see the next episode! I loved the beginning. I thought the entire thing was quirky and just outright fun. My mom and my aunt watched it with me, and we loved it. ;)
I watched about half of the show when it aired on Fox. I liked it better than I thought I would, but it's not a show that I would be dying to see each week.
@torontobabyblue@xanga - Well I saw the trailer on FOX and saw most of the things they were going to show on the pilot. I'll give this series a shot in fall.
@idkorrektem@xanga - No, not for us Canadians ;).
Sorry I don't watch this
Woot :) I watched it May 19th , I'm in Canada! I actually loved it. The beginning was a little off, but by the ending I was like, AHW, yay! As if they gave us ONE preview and now we have to wait until the fall!! I loved their cover to don't stop believing.. it was AMAZING.
x,
kathleen.
I not only watched it, I LOVED it so much I told everyone I worked with about it and they almost all had watched it, or taped it (because it aired during two finales) and LOVED it! The next week I rushed home to watch the next episode and was very upset it wasn't on TV. I did much research and couldn't find when it would show next. I checked out a website about it and everyone (EVERYONE) had wonderful things to 'comment' about after the article. I was not registered to add comments on the site, but if I had, they would have been the following:
The inside jokes of characters in a teaching profession are priceless. The a cappella music background was perfect. The musical performance was wonderful. The stereotypical high school characters played on everyone's sympathies...especially when the high school jock stood up to his bullying cohorts and rescued the handicapped musician. There are some quirky characters (the drug-pushing fired teacher, the 'wife', the 'clean-freak' teacher...who we all know in our own lives) that make the show even more interesting and the way the writers say just enough to get us laughing (by what isn't said but we all know is happening) adds to the intrigue (as do some unconventional choices by characters.) I LOVED IT!!! Bring it on!!!
Yay!
@kachino@xanga - that really sux. sorry!
i really can't wait till the next episode as i am seeing this from the beginning of the show and i never missed out them. This episode is really looking with different story line and total run. we all in our home hang up to the show without missing them
